A Winter Tale tells the emotional story of a Black men's support group that begins to meet at a Caribbean Takeaway, following the shooting death of a young child. It features a talented ensemble cast led by Canadian stars Peter Williams and Michael Miller, and Caribbean icons Leonie Forbes and Dennis "Sprangalang" Hall.

The movie opened this year's ReelWorld Film Festival, and took home the Tonya Lee Williams Award for Outstanding Canadian Feature. It has screened at several international film festivals, including the Montreal World Film Festival, the Atlantic Film Festival, and Bite The Mango, UK.

From Expose Magazine, May 2007: A Winter Tale is Pure Fireworks

"Solomon and her cast deliver extraordinarily credible, emotionally raw performances that depict the vulnerability, self-preservationa and salvation of (black men) in the wake of gun violence."

From the Montreal Gazette, August 30, 2007: Stepping up in a Time of Sadness

"A Winter Tale is an intensely powerful story about the reinstallation of moral responsibility in (the) black community. Its prime movers walk it in real life like they talk it in this must-see fiction feature... - JOHN GRIFFIN
